We took a family vacation to New York a couple of weeks ago. Aaron's sister lives there and was nice enough to let us invade their apartment for a week and explore the city with them. It is a different pace than we are used to but luckily we were planning on that. Aaron has been before, but Dax and I had not. Dax did great with all the walking, getting on and off the subway and playing with his cousins. There are lots of pictures and I chose the best of the bunch.

These top 3 pictures are at the Natural History Museum which is huge. We were there for a couple of hours and went back on Monday to finish. It was really amazing!!

This is Aaron's favorite part of the entire trip. Just kidding. This is at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. He got up there to pose and dance and the ladies behind us wanted to take pictures of him as well, so of course he posed for them as well.

Dax and Ben were so fun together. Ben climbed right into my suitcase and I would have taken him home if his parents would have let me.

Dax did great with the subway. A new experience that he loved.

Rockefeller center

The view from the top of the Rockefeller Center. It was a great day and such a beautiful sight.

These next five pictures are from the Intrepid Sea and Air Museum. We got to go through an old Submarine that was running in the 1950's and got to walk on and through the aircraft carrier. This was surprisingly one of our favorite things we did while in New York.

This is a picture of the lower deck of the carrier and Dax is trying really hard to keep his eyes open for the picture. It was very bright that day.

Uncle John showing Dax and Lilly the Muppets at the FAO Schwartz store.

There were some amazing lego creations.

The ferris wheel at Toys R US

Dax and I on our Cruiseline boat tour.

We ate at Gray's Papaya on the last day we were there. Hot dogs and smoothies for everyone!!

This was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art which was also huge. They had some of the most amazing things there. We could have spent an entire day here, but ended up just spending a couple of hours.

Central Park

We visited Central park on our last day in New York and it was also incredible. It was very cold most of the time we were there, but the sun did shine a couple of times and it was heavenly. There were the most amazing musicians at this fountain. It was great to soak up the sun listening to them.

SOO great to see your pictures of the fabulous trip to The Big Apple! And we were thrilled to have you visit us too :) We're so glad you guys experienced the city in so many ways, wish the weather would've been warmer but at least the crowds were less and we had such a great time. Hugs to you all!
thanks for posting your new york pics, loved looking at them. :)
