We had our Anderson family vacation this year in Rexburg, Idaho. Surprisingly there is a lot to do there and we had so much fun. We went through a cave, dug for arrowheads, floated down a river on the biggest tubes I have ever seen, played in a lake, played at the sand dunes, went rock climbing, went to see inception, and mostly just had a blast with family.

So I am sorry about these next few posts for those of you who do not love pictures of my husband like I do because are all about him.
"Hurt in the Dirt"
Aaron decided to participate in a duathalon race on July 31st called "Hurt in the Dirt". It is pretty much just what it says. You can do it with a relay team or by yourself. Well my husband is a stud and decided to go at it alone. In this race you alternate 2 four mile legs running and 2 ten mile legs mountain biking. It was such a fun race to go to and cheer him on. He came in 9th overall which is pretty amazing for his first duathalon ever. The course was treacherous and fun at the same time. I was so proud of him and amazed at what he accomplished.

This is what we saw at the finish line.

There were two spots that they had to run through a river.

Half Marathon
Aaron has really been putting in the miles the last few months and decided to also run a half marathon on the 24th. He is used to running on trails and this was all on the road. This race was the Bountiful Hand Cart days half marathon. Aaron did so well. He took 3rd overall and 1st in his age group.

Quite a few members of Aaron's family ran the 5K and kids run as well.
Rodeo
We got to go to the Pioneer Days rodeo again this year. It has become a tradition for us to go with my mom and it is a blast. Aaron gets to work as the doctor for all of the cowboys who get injured, and this year there were a lot.
